FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What kind of equipment do you use?

We (not the royal we, I sometimes have a second shooter for events) use full frame Canon DSLRs, Canon lenses and Godox lights with Magmod modifiers.

How long does it take for us to get our photos?

You'll have a set of sneak peeks within a week, and the rest of the photos within 8 weeks.

How many images do we get?

You'll get around 75 edited images per hour of the event.

Are you LGBTQ+ friendly?

Yes!

Do we need a second shooter for our wedding?

It depends! I usually recommend a second shooter for any wedding over 8 hours, or any wedding with a sizable enough guest list. The preference is to have one, and they are always experienced wedding photographers.

Should we do an engagement session?

No pressure... but I will do whatever I can to influence you to have one. Why do I like them so much? Because it allows me the chance to get to know you and see how you react to a camera in your face. It gets us comfortable with each other, and you experience the way I direct and prompt everyone to get you to look natural in photos. Also, it's fun. So okay, a good amount of pressure.

Can we skip the engagement session for a discount?

Since it's a complimentary service that I provide, clients are certainly welcome to skip it if they wish, but there are no cost-savings we can offer clients who wish to skip the engagement session altogether. But again, no pressure.

Should we do a first look?

This is 100% up to you. Here are the pros to a first look: you get tons of photos out of the way before cocktail hour, and actually get to enjoy some of the mingling that is usually reserved for guests! You get to see each other before your guests do, and can compare outfits if you haven't seen them before. Everyone tells me that seeing each other before the ceremony makes them feel calmer. The pros of not doing a first look: you get to see each other when you walk down the aisle. If that's very romantic to you, cool! We'll just do all the photos during cocktail hour.

Can we post our images on social media?

Please, please do! Rub your happiness in everyone's face! Just kidding about that second part, kind of. Post away, but please mention Milana Braslavsky Photography when you post, because we do a great job and we want to see people talking about how great the photos are (and sure, it's also nice for you to see how good you look).

Do we own copyright for our images?

You get printing rights for your images. You can print as many times as you want, as large as the file will let you. You can make a blanket out of your photos. You can send a blanket made out of your photos to everyone. If you're making blankets out of your photos, please send one over here.

How long have you been making photographs?

Honestly, it's been a long time (I know all the lyrics to Ace of Base songs kind of long time). I started out developing my own Tri-X and T-Max negatives in the darkroom, and then I made prints in a color darkroom. It was awesome. Very stinky, but awesome. I am a HUGE photography history fan, so please don't hesitate to talk about Cartier Bresson, Gordon Parks, or Diane Arbus with me. All second photographers that work with me are established wedding photographers in their own right.

Do you create albums and prints?

Yes, if you'd like! Happy to offer that option to anyone who would like me to take care of that.

How can we book you for our wedding?

So easy! You'll receive an electronic contract to be signed virtually, and you can send either a check for the retainer or pay online.
